Final Fantasy XIII Impressions

I just got home from work, and had my Final Fantasy XIII preorder waiting on me from Amazon.


My first impression is simply how beautiful the game is. The cinematics are stunning. Square always puts out quality graphics, but they've outdone themselves this time. It reminds me of the Final Fantasy VII AC/FF7 PS3 Demo level graphics, but with more vivid colors.

Anyway, I've only played through a few minutes. So far, the new battle system isn't bad. It's definitely ATB though. If you could simply turn off ATB altogether as you could in previous installments, I think I would like it more.
